Jubilee Jobs, Inc., one of Washington DC’s most respected non-profit organizations, is looking for a new Executive Director. The new Executive Director will be a person who carries a deep concern for the struggles of the very poor to live and thrive in our community. The new leader of Jubilee Jobs will have an entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to navigate the local corporate and business community and the volatile economy while advocating for fairness and opportunity for applicants. This is an exciting position for a person with a radical call to discover and create new structures and relationships for guiding applicants to work beyond the entry-level into sustaining careers in today’s economy. The Executive Director will provide key commitment and leadership to the urgent need for change in systemic racial and economic discrimination.
The Executive Director works closely with Jubilee Jobs’ dedicated, experienced and energetic staff, compassionate volunteers and committed Board of Directors to place persons needing work to support themselves and their families. Believing in a core of goodness at the center of every person, applicants include the homeless, ex-offenders who are returning to society, recent immigrants, and young adults.
