Capital Area Food Bank is seeking to hire a Coordinator, Community Marketplace (DC & MD)/Mobile Market (MD). Part of the Direct Distribution Programs department at CAFB, the Community Marketplace and Mobile Market programs are key food distribution programs providing food where it's needed most. The Community Marketplace is a free, farmers' market style event held on Saturdays in D.C., Fairfax County, VA, Prince George’s County, MD, and Arlington County, VA. The Mobile Market Program is a free, pop-up food distribution in communities with high numbers of food insecure families. These markets are primarily open-air market style distributions and typically serve between 200-300 households per distribution. This position will manage the two Saturday Community Marketplaces in Washington DC and Prince George’s County MD, and the Mobile Market programs across Montgomery and Prince George’s counties in MD, working closely with the other Community Marketplace and Mobile Market colleague on delivering program excellence.
