JOB ALERT | Ballot Initiative Strategy Center seeks Communications Coordinator - $50k to $60k
BISC HQ is located in Washington, DC, but the location for this position is flexible. This position reports to the Director of Strategic Communications.
The Communications Coordinator is responsible for providing communications implementation support that advances BISC’s mission. This position will develop communications materials and maintain the organization’s digital communications assets including the BISC website and social media platforms. Additionally, this position will also be responsible for pitching press, monitoring, tracking and compiling media coverage of ballot initiative and referenda activity across the country, and data management and evaluation. The communications coordinator will collaborate with the program team, and BISC’s partners and allies to collect stories and information for use in external communication. The coordinator also has close working relationships with the BISC team including the Executive Director, and with external consultants such as our webmaster, annual conference planners, among others.
