JOB ALERT | Administrative Assistant - $38,500 - $45,000

The National Breast Cancer Coalition (NBCC), a grassroots advocacy organization, seeks a full-time Administrative Assistant to support the work of NBCC. 

BACKGROUND

Since 1991, NBCC has been at the vanguard of the breast cancer movement – elevating breast cancer to an issue of national significance, leveraging billions of federal dollars for research and care, and empowering tens of thousands of breast cancer survivors to become effective advocates for themselves, and for all those at risk of breast cancer.

Reporting to the Director, Executive Office, the Administrative Assistant will perform general office duties for NBCC to enhance the overall administrative support of the organization. The Administrative Assistant will organize, prioritize, streamline, and coordinate the activities of the Office of the President, which include arranging complex travel accommodations, coding expenses, and collaborating closely with the Director on meetings and special events logistics. The Administrative Assistant will support all aspects of NBCC’s education and training programs and the Government Relations department, focusing on administrative coordination required for all events and online offerings. The Assistant will maintain, update, and monitor databases essential to the Government Relations Department’s outreach efforts.

Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience. Minimum of three years of work experience in an office environment, preferably in education or government relations, and event management. Strong communication and organizational skills necessary. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, database programs: and cloud-based database experience is a plus. Must possess the ability to perform tasks with limited supervision and manage multiple priorities.
