I value my friendships enough to be honest in them

And sometimes they “hear” something you didn’t say, intend or even imply. But that's okay, real friends (the people who you love so much you would take a bullet for you) will understand and will give their friend the time and the space to realize that on their own. Friendships of a lifetime are worth the space of a few hours or days.

So even if “help” comes in the form of another viewpoint contrary to your own, that doesn’t make you a bad person. It means you have people in your life who think you are such a great person that they want to keep you safe. And in order to do that, we are willing to risk a little awkwardness (or upset).

But everything is going to be fine, tough old broads can handle it! 😂
