Horning Family Fund seeks Executive Director
This is an exciting time for HFF, and we seek a full-time Executive Director who has the skills to manage current foundation activities as well as the leadership abilities to help advance our future directions The Executive Director will report directly to the HFF Board Chair.
Responsibilities include:

The Executive Director will:
Respond to inquiries, review and evaluate grant proposals, and develop a docket for consideration and decision making by the foundation board.
Work with the foundation board chair and board members to organize bi-annual foundation meetings including the development of board packets, statistical reports, program documents and trend data.
Maintain strong relationships with grantees and monitor grantee progress in achieving key objectives through site visits and review of narrative and financial reports.
Partner with board members to engage next generation of family members in the work of foundation.
Take on other roles and special projects as needed to support and enhance the work of the foundation, and identify and engage additional consultants as needed.
· Related to The Commons
The Executive Director will provide “backbone” functions for collaborative activities at The Commons, and will:
Coordinate and facilitate quarterly Commons Impact Council meetings, including preparing an agenda, taking minutes and following up on action items.
Manage N2N, a community lead small grantmaking fund housed at The Commons.
Coordinate outreach to the community and other non-profits in Ward 8 and DC to identify potential partners to achieve the desired outcomes for The Commons.
Coordinate outreach to potential funders to support collaborative activities at The Commons.
Work with The Commons partners to market, message and plan Commons’ collaborative events.
