Description:

The Project Coordinator is a rising professional with excellent communication skills, a strong grasp of project execution principles, and a desire to dig into the details of complex initiatives and guide a team to success. Working within the PMO’s established procedures and under the guidance of a Project Management mentor, the PC collaborates with project team members to define and coordinate the necessary activities to help deliver small to medium-sized projects, often involving outside vendor teams in conjunction with Home Point participants. The PC is expected to manage multiple activities simultaneously and apply sound professional judgment in resolving issues and ensuring positive outcomes. The Coordinator uses advanced communication skills to ensure project participants and stakeholders are kept adequately informed of the effort’s progress and issues through regular status reporting and presentations as well as informal communications.

Essential Functions:

  • Work with Project Champions and stakeholders to define and document project objectives and scope.

  • Build and manage project plans, identify dependencies internal and external to the projects.

  • Schedule, facilitate, and document meetings and work sessions necessary to keep the project on track.

  • Document and mitigate risks where possible and show sound judgment in escalating issues that cannot be resolved within the project team in a timely and constructive manner.

  • Ensure clear and transparent communication on project status to stakeholders within and outside of the core project team through standard project reporting, management-level presentations when appropriate, and targeted email and/or verbal communication.
