[PR] Arrests Made in Multiple Robbery Offenses

Sixth District:

  • On Monday, February 24, 2020, 66 year-old Clifton Gorham, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Pickpocket) offense that occurred on Monday, February 24, 2020, in the 5000 block of Nannie Helen Burroughs Avenue, Northeast. CCN: 20-033-360

    • At approximately 10:59 am, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect removed the victim’s property from their person then fled the scene. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers. 

  • On Tuesday, February 25, 2020, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 20 year-old William Williams, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Friday, November 15, 2019, in the 900 block of 52nd Street, Northeast. CCN: 19-204-383

    • At approximately 4:12 am, two suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded property from the victim. The suspects took property from the victim and then fled the scene. This case remains under investigation.

  • On Wednesday, February 26, 2020, a 15 year-old juvenile male, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Snatch) offense that occurred on Wednesday, February 26, 2020, in the 3600 block of Hayes Street, Northeast. CCN: 20-034-789

    • At approximately 3:54 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect snatched the victim’s property then fled the scene. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.
