I’m so thankful for the I.T. skills I gained

As we settle into our “new normal,” a lot of people are stressing about how they are going to get that next paycheck. We all know the issues with getting unemployment claims processed through DOES, I am sure they are working as hard and fast as they can, but in the meantime, people have to eat, and this rent has to be paid.

The good news is that some places are, in fact, hiring! The better news is that some of these job opportunities allow you to work from home. In looking over the traffic numbers for Congress Heights on the Rise, GET THE BAG SUNDAYS are extremely popular, so I will continue to do them for the time being. Nothing makes me happier than when someone tells me they got a job based on a lead they saw on this site.

My point, Do NOT sleep on these job opportunities! The Stay-At-Home order is not an ideal situation. Still, if there is a silver lining in this dark cloud, it’s that unemployed or underemployed people can use this time to get prepared with the job skills and education to come back stronger than ever before.

If the current public health crisis has taught us anything, it’s that life as we know it has changed. How ready are you for this change?
