Face Masks in Alcohol Establishments Become Optional Effective Nov. 22
Effective today—Monday, ؙNovember 22, 2021, the requiring of face masks by staff and patrons in alcohol establishments is optional.
Establishments may continue to require staff and patrons to wear face masks or coverings in their licensed premises at their discretion—except for individuals under the age of two (2) years old or who have a medical or mental health condition or a disability that prevents them from wearing a mask or face covering.
Establishments that require or recommend face masks or coverings be worn are strongly encouraged to post signage as appropriate.
The face mask modification is reflected Mayor’s Order 2021-142 and the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board’s Notice of Sixteenth Emergency Rulemaking.
