Job Summary

This position is located in District of Columbia Board of Elections (DCBOE), Office of the Executive Director, Voter Services Division.  The agency is responsible for the administration of elections, ballot access, and voter registration. Primary responsibility of this position will be providing substantive administrative support work, requiring administrative and analytical skills and the ability to research problems and issues.

Duties and Responsibilities

Incumbent has overall responsibility for processing voter registration applications and updates.  Assisting with voter maintenance through periodic voter mailings and data sharing with outside agencies. Updates voter history data and scans voters from precinct rosters, determining voter registration status for processing petitions, special or challenged ballots and candidate challenges.

Performs data entry and verification of voter registration applications from routine and agency based registration programs, the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (NVRA) and the Help America Voter Act (HAVA).  Assist with data cleansing of voter registration applications, assists with absentee voting transactions, including data entry, ballot mailing and tracking.  Processes and updates voter’s information through voter database, verifies election results, voter status and the validity of challenged ballots.
