[PR] Arrests Made in Robbery Offenses

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division announced arrests in recent robbery cases in Washington, DC.

Third District: 

  • On Sunday, November 29, 2020, 55 year-old Donald Bates, of Northwest, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Saturday, November 28, 2020, in the 1700 block of Euclid Street, Northwest. CCN: 20-169-922

    • At approximately 11:40 pm, the suspect and victim were engaged in a verbal altercation, inside a residence, at the listed located. The suspect assaulted the victim, took the victim’s property then fled the scene. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers. 

  • On Tuesday, December 1, 2020, 42 year-old Rico Beecher and 37 year-old Anthony Hargrove, both of Northeast, DC, were arrested for an Assault with Intent to Rob offense that occurred on Tuesday, December 1, 2020, in the 1100 block of Massachusetts Avenue, Northwest. CCN: 20-171-059

    • At approximately 2:00 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects assaulted the victim and attempted to take property. The suspects then fled the scene.

Sixth District: 

  • On Monday, November 30, 2020, two 14 year-old juvenile males, both of Northeast, DC, a 15 year-old juvenile male, of Southeast, DC, and 25 year-old Darius Tyson, of Oxon Hill, MD, were arrested for an Armed Carjacking (Gun) offense that occurred on Sunday, November 29, 2020, in the 2900 block of M Place, Southeast. CCN: 20-170-221

    • At approximately 6:57 pm, the suspects approached the victim, sitting in their vehicle, at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s vehicle. The victim complied and the suspects fled the scene in the vehicle.

Seventh District:

  • On Tuesday, December 1, 2020, a 14 year-old juvenile male, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for an Unarmed Carjacking offense that occurred on Tuesday, December 1, 2020, in the 2500 block of Pomeroy Road, Southeast. CCN: 20-170-953

    • At approximately 9:49 am, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects assaulted the victim and fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle. This case remains under investigation.
