Community of Hope seeks Full-time and Part-time Resident Monitor

Position Summary:  

The Resident Monitor is accountable directly to the Resident Monitor Manager.  This position ensures the safety of the building and enforcing resident rules. This is an essential staff position and we are seeking to fill Full-Time, Part-Time and Relief positions.

Highlighted Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implements and operates COH's program procedures, adhering to all policies and expectations outlined   in the Resident Monitor handbook;

  • Maintains security of the building at all times and does not leave post at the end of shift without first ensuring that there are staff on duty for the next shift;

  • Monitors security cameras for activities in and around the building;

  • Makes hourly walks throughout the building to check for maintenance and security concerns;

  • Answers telephone lines and manages front desk activities including signing-in residents, greeting visitors and volunteers and problem solve with shelter residents, all in a professional, friendly manner;

  • Documents and communicates rule violations and concerns about residents as appropriate to the situation; by email or when necessary by phone to appropriate staff;

  • Responds to residents' requests, rendering assistance as possible; respond to and resolve conflicts and crisis situations;

  • Maintains standardized operating procedures, safety of residents, program integrity, and a supportive and caring environment;

  • Communicates with staff and all residents in a non-judgmental manner; work cooperatively with all agency staff.
