Communications Associate
Media Matters for America -- a progressive, Washington, D.C.-based, nonprofit research and information center dedicated to comprehensively monitoring, analyzing, and correcting conservative misinformation in the U.S. media -- seeks a candidate with experience in multitasking in a fast-paced environment to serve as Communications Associate in the Communications Department.
ROLE SUMMARY:
The Communications Associate is the primary point person for tracking the impact of Media Matters’ work. The associate also maintains the Communications Department’s media contact database, arranges interviews for Media Matters spokespeople, and provides a range of other support to communications team members. The Communications Associate will have a unique opportunity to learn about and participate in the rapidly changing media landscape. The ideal candidate will be an individual who thrives on getting things done in a high-pressure, quickly changing environment while working collaboratively within a tightly coordinated team.
REPORTING STRUCTURE:
The Communications Associate reports to the Communications Director.
