Rest In Peace Clark Ray, we will miss you

I woke up this morning to the very sad news of Clark Ray’s passing and I am shocked beyond words. It had been a while since I had last spoken to Clark but we followed each other on Facebook and I loved his many updates about his loving family, especially his adopted sons and his work as the Executive Director of a local youth organization. I was just checking out his update the other day, I just can’t believe he is gone.

Clark was truly a loving, generous, and kind person. He was one of those special people you feel privileged to know. Clark worked hard for the people of the District especially the youth. To meet Clark was to love Clark, he was that great of a person, just authentically good to his core. I know there are a lot of broken hearts and tear-stained faces today. I am comforted by the fact that Clark lived every day fully and loved and was loved.

My deepest sympathies to Clark’s husband, his sons, family, and friends. I can’t even imagine what they are going through. Let’s keep this family in our hearts and in our prayers.
