Free Rowing Experience with the Capital Rowing Club! For youth ages, 11-18 years old from Wards 7 & 8! Includes transportation (Ward 7), instruction, equipment and lunch! Registration required.
Free Nature Experience, co-sponsored by Infinite Possibilities and the DC Dream Center and Capitol Rowing Club
Youth participants ages 11-18 from Wards 7 & 8 have the opportunity to learn about nature and have fun during a free 5-week program with events on the Anacostia River. Learn about the your local while our hosts, IPI will teach youth the fundamentals biking and canoeing/kayaking and offer an opportunity to do both in the Anacostia River Safety and Waivers: Youth must turn in a waiver and permission slip signed (by parent or guardian) prior to departure for the event.
What's Included: 1) Transportation from the DC Dream Center, 2) morning and afternoon snack, 3) instruction, equipment and nature experience, 4) swag bag, and 5) environmental education and stewardship opportunities.
Participants are expected to participate a minimum of 4 sessions.
