MY PICK! Aug 4 | The Inaugural DC Bike Fair @ The Big Chair
On Saturday, August 4 the DC Dept. of Transportation and Capital Bikeshare will host the first ever DC Bike Fair. The Fair is a family-friendly block party where residents can come to experience and learn about all of the bikesharing options currently available in their community by participating in interactive demos and mini bike rides to learn about how they all work. Additionally, residents will be able to engage with members of DDOT and local bike advocacy groups to become more aware of the network of trails and bike lanes that currently exist in and around Wards 7 & 8. There will be a bike obstacle course, a community bike ride courtesy of WABA, the DPR Skate Mobile for kids, music, free giveaways and more! Plus, our community partner Gearin' Up Bikes will be donating bikes to be raffled away for free!
The event will take place from 12-4pm at 2241 Martin Luther King Jr. Ave SE (the parking lot next to the Big Chair in Anacostia). For more information click here.
