Aug 20 | Mayor Bowser presents the Butterfly Park Garden Party

As part of "Space to Dream", this summer we partnered with Kelly Miller Middle School to plant colorful, nectar-rich pollinators in the garden to help butterflies continue their great work as food producers. Join us to celebrate our student gardeners with new beautiful art installations at our Butterfly Park Garden Party. Bring the whole family to enjoy inspirational activities, paint &sip, summer treats, and relaxation.

About Space to Dream
“Space to Dream” is a creative placemaking initiative encouraging community use of vacant or underutilized spaces through arts, cultural, and wellness activities. Throughout August, 2018, the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Greater Economic Opportunity and the Office of Planning will host a variety of family games, fitness classes, and other fun activities at Butterfly Park in Ward 7 for residents to gather, create, and be inspired.
