About Atlas Corps
Atlas Corps (www.atlascorps.org) is an international organization with an annual budget of approximately $4m. Our mission is to address critical social issues by developing leaders and strengthening organizations through a fellowship and alumni network of skilled professionals. We were founded on the idea that talent exists everywhere in the world, but opportunity does not, and our largest program has identified the world’s best social change leaders and brought them to the U.S. for 12-18 months. Since our founding in 2006, Atlas Corps has supported 800 leaders from 96 countries through our exchange programs, and we expect to support another 200 people through Virtual Leadership programs in the next 12 months.
Atlas Corps specializes in civil society leaders, but recently we’ve launched new programs to support young innovators, entrepreneurs, and tech professionals in long-term professional exchanges for participants ages 25-35 years old. We also manage and build alumni networks such as the American Express Leadership Academy alumni network and the G20’s youth delegate alumni network – both of which we helped build and manage. Atlas Corps has a robust training program that engages professors from Georgetown University and the University of Virginia and a distance-learning program for both participants and alumni. We implement programs with world-class partners, such as American Express, Ashoka, CARE, G20, IBM, Microsoft, Peace Corps, and hundreds more.
