Arrests Made in Robbery Offenses in 4th and 6th Districts

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division announced arrests in recent robbery cases in Washington, DC.
Fourth District:
On Sunday, January 31, 2021, 38-year-old Jayson Wilkes, of Northwest, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Sunday, January 31, 2021, in the 100 block of Kennedy Street, Northwest. CCN: 21-013-866
At approximately 2:56 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property. The suspect then fled the scene.
On Wednesday, February 3, 2021, 30-year-old Deaja Nash, of District Heights, MD, was arrested for an Armed Robbery of an Establishment (Gun) offense that occurred on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, in the 4600 block of 14th Street, Northwest. CCN: 21-015-080
At approximately 2:35 pm, the suspects entered an establishment at the listed location. The suspects brandished handguns and took the victims’ property. The suspects then fled the scene. This case remains under investigation.
Sixth District:
On Tuesday, February 2, 2021, 32-year-old Brian Thomas, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Pickpocket) offense that occurred on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, in the 3800 block of Minnesota Avenue, Northeast. CCN: 21-014-599
At approximately 2:02 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect took property from the victim’s pocket without the victim’s knowledge. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.
