Arrests Made in Multiple Robbery Offenses

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division announced several arrests in recent robbery cases in Washington, DC.

Highlights from east of the river:
Sixth District:
On Tuesday, June 25, 2019, a 14 year-old juvenile male, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Sunday, June 23, 2019, in the 4900 block of Nannie Helen Burroughs Avenue, Northwest. CCN: 19-109-819.
At approximately 9:30 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property. The suspect then fled the scene.
On Wednesday, June 26, 2019, 18 year-old John Leach, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 in the 4800 block of Jay Street, Northeast. CCN: 19-110-005.
At approximately 9:30 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect took the victim’s property. The suspect then fled the scene.
Seventh District:
On Tuesday, June 25, 2019, 33 year-old Andrea Tillman, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Snatch) offense that occurred on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 in the 700 block of Malcolm X Avenue, Southeast. CCN: 19-110-738.
At approximately 11:36 am, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect snatched the property from the victim and then fled the scene. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.
