Arrest Made in an Armed Carjacking (Gun) Offense: 2600 Block of 30th Street, SE

(Washington, DC) – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Carjacking Task Force announce an arrest has been made in reference to an Armed Carjacking (Gun) offense that occurred on Sunday, August 29, 2021, in the 2600 block of 30th Street, Southeast.

At approximately 7:58 pm, the victim was seated in a vehicle, with a suspect, at the listed location. Two other suspects approached the victim, brandished handguns, and demanded the victim’s vehicle. The victim complied and the suspects fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle. The victim’s vehicle was later recovered. 

On Friday, September 24, 2021, pursuant to a DC Superior Court Arrest Warrant, 18-year-old Angel Nmachi Rockefeller, of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Armed Carjacking (Gun).

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent crime committed in the District of Columbia.
