Are you worried about the government shutdown?

As we are days away from marking a full month since the federal government shutdown began, The Advoc8te is wondering about the affect this economic freeze is having on the community. East of the river already has it’s challenges, we have the highest number of DC residents who are unemployed or underemployed. Our economy is closely tied to government programs and nonprofits.

What happens when the helpers need help?

What happens when the least have to make do with even less?
