Arcadia Mobile Markets in Congress Heights and Anacostia this June

The Mobile Market team has been deeply reflecting on and refining the plan for this market season amidst the pandemic. The safety and wellness of the Mobile Market community is our top priority.  This season's program model is shaped by this priority; making space for the countless unknowns we are all facing. We will continue to serve those we’ve built community with over the last 8 years, while taking the necessary precautions to support everyone’s health and safety. We have decided to operate a much more limited schedule than we previously planned. 

We will continue to serve all 10 market sites, but in modified ways. Six market sites will continue to operate as full Mobile Market sites. We will operate three markets each week, so three sites will be served one week, and three other sites the next week. These sites are:
Wednesdays 3-6pm (alternating each week):
- Mayfair
- Bellevue Library
Fridays 3-6pm (alternating each week):
- Edgewood
- Oxon Run Park
Saturdays 10am-1pm (alternating each week):
- Anacostia
- Deanwood Recreation Center

Four of the market sites are too small or otherwise physically restrictive for a socially-distant market to operate. Instead of regular markets, we will operate pre-order pickup sites at these four locations. Every Thursday from 3-5pm we will be at one of the four sites, rotating each week to a different site. Pre-orders are REQUIRED for these sites. There will not be any on-site shopping. Pre-order Pickup ONLY sites are:

- Hendley Elementary School
- The Park at LeDroit
- Congress Heights Senior Wellness Center
- Chinatown Wah Luck House

We plan to continue this schedule through October 31, 2020, but will advertise the market schedule one month at a time. Please familiarize yourself with our June schedule and share it with your networks!
