Animal Welfare League of Arlington seeks Humane Educator - $15 to $15.50/hour

The Humane Educator is responsible for developing and implementing humane education programs and events. This role focuses on and includes: planning, scheduling, and implementing humane education programs for the League both at the shelter and in the community. This role will also be responsible for collecting and analyzing data to determine the impact of programs. This position works closely with the Community Support Team, humane education interns, and League volunteers to implement these educational programs.

This is a part time position, 20-30 hours a week, expected to regularly work evening hours (until 7 or 8PM) and weekend hours, with occasional holiday shifts. This position is based in Arlington, Virginia. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, coordinate, and implement humane education programs at the League. Including but not limited to:

Group tours

~ Community presentations

~ School project requests

~ Summer camps

~ Kids clubs

~ Kids movie nights

~ Birthday Paw-ties

~ Additional programming as needed
