Americans for Financial Reform seek Summer Telework Paid Internships - $15/hour
Internships available summer 2020:
Communications:The communications intern will work with AFR Ed Fund communications director to support press and media strategies that lift up our campaigns fighting for a more just and stable economy, as well as for protecting consumers against Wall Street financial scams and discrimination.
Payday Campaign: This intern will help advance the work of a coalition defending consumer protections for borrowers of predatory loans by lifting up the stories of community members and putting pressure on Congress and regulators to maintain and expand protections.
Take on Wall Street Campaign: The TOWS intern will help with a campaign supported by a coalition of over 50 national organizations—including community-based organizations, labor unions, consumer advocates, faith groups, and more—organized around moving a financial reform agenda to address the predatory economic power of Wall Street banks and billionaires and around building a financial system that works for the many, not the few.
Operations: This intern will help manage a non-profit organization, working with the COO and the Operations Manager to help maintain our systems, keep our accounting, help prepare grants applications and reports, and sustain our internal communications and organizational structures.
