[PR] Arrests Made in Robbery Offenses

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division announced several arrests in recent robbery cases in Washington, DC.

First District:

  • On Saturday, September 12, 2020, 31 year-old Darius Jones, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for an Attempt to Commit Robbery offense that occurred on Saturday, September 12, 2020, in the unit block of 14th Street, Northeast. CCN: 20-130-715

    • At approximately 9:20 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect motioned as if to have a weapon and demanded the victim’s property. The suspect did not obtain any property and fled the scene. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers. 

Fourth District: 

  • On Sunday, September 13, 2020, 36 year-old Isia Hernandez, of Northwest, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Sunday, September 13, 2020, in the 4000 block of 14thStreet, Northwest. CCN: 20-131-114

    • At approximately 9:40 am, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers. 

Fifth District:

  • On Sunday, September 13, 2020, 19 year-old Lucius Copeland, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Sunday, September 13, 2020, in the 1800 block of New York Avenue, Northeast. CCN: 20-130-995

    • At approximately 1:30 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect assaulted the victim, took the victim’s property then fled the scene. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers. 

Seventh District:

  • On Thursday, September 17, 2020, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 30 year-old Richard Naylor, of Bladensburg, MD, was arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Tuesday, June 30, 2020, in the 2400 block of Martin Luther King Jr Avenue, Southeast. CCN: 20-095-203

    • At approximately 3:00 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect assaulted the victim, took the victim’s property then fled the scene.
