$30,000 needed to support Anacostia arts and small businesses!
Dear friends and readers,
I really need your help! I’m putting out the call to support an amazing Ward 8 nonprofit that has served the Anacostia and Ward 8 community for over 35 years! Arch Development may be a tiny nonprofit but that hasn’t stopped them from having a BIG IMPACT in Ward 8! I’ve had the pleasure of working with and for this organization and I love them to bits! It was ARCH that helped start my small business and that were the first to support my community campaigns such as Southeast Love. I wouldn’t be here without their support, guidance and love.
ARCH projects include the Anacostia Arts Center (home to several minority-owned businesses such as MahoganyBooks & Nubian Hueman), The HIVE 2.0 (a small business incubator), Honfleur Gallery, Vivid Solutions Gallery and more fine programs and events than you can shake a stick at! ARCH is one of those organizations that would rather do the work than get attention for it, which is why I am taking the time to let you know that they could use your support. Almost all of ARCH’s programs and events are free but they come with a cost.
A GoFundMe has been started and the goal is to raise $30,000 to support this amazing organization.
ARCH is in the community, for the community and many members of the staff are Ward 8 residents. With funding cutbacks, every bit helps so please consider making a donation to their GoFundMe campaign and spreading the word.
XOXO
