Million-dollar listings are common on Capitol Hill, but stand out from the crowd in the Hillcrest neighborhood of Southeast Washington.

While the median listing price in Capitol Hill is $840,000, according to Realtor.com, it’s $530,000 in Hillcrest. The neighborhood can be considered a hidden jewel with its views across the city, tree-lined suburban streets and a mix of colonial and Tudor-style houses.

It is known for its block parties and friendly neighbors.

Now a newly constructed single-family house at 3126 Westover Dr. SE is raising the bar in the community with a listed price of $998,500.
