Bikram Yoga East is a unique Bikram Yoga College of India. We offer course in life. Ayurveda, the study/ knowledge of life, is revealed in the books of the Vedas. We utilize simple concepts, techniques and daily practices to bring balance and harmony to your yoga practice and everyday lives! As our world undergoes radical change, the teachings of Ayurveda and practice of Yoga provide purposeful activity to redirect and sustain a healthy life style . We offer mediation, massage therapy, hot yoga classes and weekly workshops in Ayurveda. Our goal is simple: change the mind, change the life. We live by the philosophy “ever too late to start, again”.

Deirdre Misty” Smith, a native of Washington DC, grew up in the Brookland area of the city. With a love and passion for movement, science and the human condition, she studied Exilstentialsm (Philosophy) and Occupational Therapy at D’Youville College in Buffalo NY. After earning her B.A .in Philosophy (1994) she went on sabbatical to study Medical Massage Therapy at the Baltimore School of Massage (1998) and later (2004)Neuromuscular Therapy with Judith Delaney Of the American Neuromuscular Trigger Point Therapy Association. In the Spring 2002, she earned her Certification as a Bikram Yoga Method Instructor, and enrolled in Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy to study coaching techniques and guidelines for assessment and treatment. From January (2009) until now she has studied Ayurveda; Ayurveda Specialist ( 2009) Kripalu School of Ayurveda, Panchakarma Specialist (2013) Kerela School of Ayurveda and currently she is pursuing a Masters in Metabolism and Digestion. Currently she is an Ayurveda Consultant for Health Services for Children With Special Needs.
