FREE event perfect for the whole family! 


Washington Performing Arts and Town Hall Education Arts Recreation Campus (THEARC) present the Spring Arts Fair & Birthday Bash. In celebration of the 10th anniversary of THEARC, become immersed in D.C.'s rich artistic community through this fun-filled celebration.

Starting at 10am and every 20 minutes until 2pm take a free shuttle from the Southern Avenue metro to/from THEARC. Free car and bike parking at THEARC.

SPRING ARTS FAIR & BIRTHDAY BASH LINEUP:

MAIN STAGE hosted by WPGC's Todd B.
10:00am Dance Party w/ DJ Beauty and the Beatz
Hit the dance floor and join our celebration with music mixed live by this amazing 13-year old DJ.

10:30am Xichen Xu, ehru (chinese violin)
Celebrate D.C.'s great international community with ehru artist Xichen Xu.*

11:00am Chelsey Green and the Green Project
Influenced by jazz and R&B, and more: expect the unexpected from violinist/violist Chelsey Green.

11:35am Zion Baptist Church of Eastland Gardens Sanctuary Choir
Have your spririts lifted in song by the joyful sounds of Zion Baptist Church's choir.*

12:00pm Washington Ballet@THEARC Performance Ensemble
This vibrant group of young men and women performan classical ballet highlights.

12:30pm Washington Performing Arts Capital Dance
Performing West African and Afro Fusion dance, the infectious energy of these talented youn dancers from nearby Simon Elementary School are guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. Led by CityDance teachign artist Adjetey Klufio.

1:00pm Zeyu Li, violin
Be mesmerized by the artistic virtuosity of this remarkable Curtis Institute of Music student.*

1:30pm Queen P Dance Crew
Let's Dance! Enjoy an interactive performance by this electrifying hip-hop dance crew from the heart of D.C.

2:00pm Closing

Song Circle Workshops hosted by Imagination Stage (45 minutes)
Explores a popular children's book with your family thorugh song and musical instruments.
Activites in Saturday Song Circle are best for 1-3 year olds but 4-5 year old siblings and friends are also welcome to join in the fun. Space is limited.
