$10 Tickets for D.C. Residents of Ward 7 and Ward 8

With a 2015-16 season focus on The Art of the Spiritual, Washington Performing Arts' Mars Urban Arts Initiative (MUAI) will explore spiritual communities in Washington D.C.’s Wards 7 and 8 through a series of programs entitled, DEEP RIVER. DEEP RIVER is a six-month long series of free/discounted programming from February 2016-June 2016 that will engage spiritual communities located east of the Anacostia River. The program is aimed at amplifying the spiritual voices east of the Anacostia River.

We would like to invite the residents of Wards 7 & 8 to join us for a wonderful celebration of gospel and spiritual music on Sunday, February 21, 2016.

For more than 20 years, the Washington Performing Arts Gospel Choirs have shared the inspirational gift of gospel music with audiences throughout the D.C. region and beyond. The choirs’ annual concert co-presented with the Choral Arts Chorus, honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., is a joyful celebration of the power of music and the human spirit.
