Dear Ward 8 Faith Leader,
The monthly Ward 8 Faith Leaders Breakfast Meeting will be this Saturday, October 10th, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Faith Presbyterian Church, 4161 South Capitol Street, SW (at Chesapeake Street).
There will be presenters who will speak about the opportunities for Ward 8 houses of worship to connect with the development of the Saint Elizabeths East Campus, the 11th Street Bridge Park Project, and Operation Hope. Rev. Dr. James E. Terrell, the president of the Council of Churches of Greater Washington will give a presentation.
Also, there will be further planning of the project dealing with unsolved homicides and missing persons east of the the Anacostia River.
The monthly meetings are sponsored by the Anacostia Coordinating Council (ACC), East of the River Clergy Police Community Partnership, and the Far Southeast Family Strengthening Collaborative. Every house of worship in Ward 8 is asked to send a representative.
