TONIGHT AT 6:30PM | BIG K DEVELOPMENT COMMUNITY MEETING AT DHCD

Hmmm...  The Advoc8te literally heard about this meeting 30 minutes ago -- and the meeting is tonight -- so I am not really confident that this "community meeting" was really about genuinely soliciting community involvement. That said, my understanding is that Chapman was in charge of the community outreach for this and not DHCD. My Anacostia sources tell me that flyers were distributed last Thursday or Friday to parts of the neighborhood. 

Normally I don't like rewarding a developer (or anyone for that matter) for such poor community engagement with such little lead time but I want my neighbors to be involved in this meeting which in the past has been contentious to say the least. 

So I will do my part and spread the word, well as much as I can in less than than 7 hours. I encourage my readers and neighbors to do the same. You can download the flyer below.
