Art, Games, Music, Food Demo!

The mural will be a community-guided art project led by Caryl Henry Alexander. The theme will be: Imagining sustainable agroecology for our community's future. This mural installation is part of a larger community arts building project being promoted thorugh the US Department of Arts and Culture. By creating art together as a community, we answer their call: Together: We create the World We Wish to Inhabit!

Many thanks to Caryl Henry Alexander and EcoHermanas for making this gift possible: our first farm art!

Visual artist and educator, Caryl Henry Alexander has been commisioned to create murals, sculptures, site-specific installations, and paintings. She has exhibited throughout the United States and at the American Cultural Center in Ibadan, Nigeria. Based in Maryland, Caryl has been active in the art education community, offering arts integrated residencies in schools throughout the state and teaching at the Maryland Artist Teacher Institute. Her joy is to design and actualize creative school-community collaborations.

It will indeed be a joy to create a mural for Three Part Harmony Farm at our 3rd annual fall festival!

If you have art supplies that might be useful for the project, please get in touch with Gail and Caryl before the event. Make sure to wear clothes that can get paint on them if you wish to partipate in the mural making.
