THEARC celebrates 10th Anniversary with 6th Annual AfterDark@THEARC gala

What: AfterDark@THEARC, annual gala benefiting the Town Hall Education Arts Recreation Campus (THEARC). This event also celebrated the 10th anniversary of THEARC.
On Saturday, DC's movers and shakers, politicians including Mayor Muriel Bowser, former Mayor Vincent Gray, Councilmember David Grasso, Councilmember Todd, Councilmember Evans and Councilmember LaRuby May joined a plethora of philanthropists and community leaders and members to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Town Hall Education Arts Recreation Campus (THEARC) in Ward 8! It was such an amazing evening filled with performances from local artists, wordsmiths and students from partners at THEARC including the Boys & Girls Club FBR Branch, Levine Music, The Washington Ballet at THEARC, The Washington School for Girls and much more! The Ballou Marching Band was on hand to get the celebration started right! It was a great night with much to see and do! The giveaway gift for the evening featured homemade jam made in Ward 8 from fruit grown at The Organic Garden at THEARC and from Arcadia Mobile Market.
