Join us on the front lines of urban greening and environmental justice at the
Shepherd Parkway Community Clean-Up

10 am to 1 pm
No park in DC is has been as neglected as Shepherd Parkway, but none has made more progress is the last four years.
Our dedicated volunteers have removed over half a million pounds of trash from the woods, saved thousands of trees from invasive vines, and placed Shepherd Parkway on the agenda of the National Park Service, local and regional environmental groups, and Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton.
Every volunteer hour brings us closer to our goal of an attractive, inviting and, ecologically healthy nature preserve for the residents of Ward 8.
Meet at the picnic tables near the corner of Martin Luther King and Malcolm X Avenues SE
Gloves, bags, and water will be provided. Wear boots and clothes you can get dirty.
