D.C. police are searching for 14 people riding seven dirt bikes and four-wheel all terrain vehicles in connection with last week’s shooting of a 27-year-old reporter who was killed at a bus stop in Southeast Washington.
The grainy black and white video shows a procession of vehicles, many with two people aboard, speeding down a street. Police said they want to question 14 people on seven vehicles in the May 27 slaying of Charnice Milton.

Police have said the local reporter, who was killed while returning home from an assignment covering a community meeting, was shot by someone one a dirt bike, and that she was not the intended target. Her father has said the person who the gunman was aiming at grabbed her and used her as a human shield.

Anyone with information is urged to call D.C. police at 202-727-9099 or text the department’s tip line at 50411. The shooting occurred about 9:40 p.m. in the 2700 block of Good Hope Road.
