ABC7 | Historic Anacostia takes turn for the better, sees renovation boom
I love Maureen but for the life of me I don't know why she introduced this segment as being about Congress Heights when it was clearly about historic Anacostia.
Before anyone starts screaming about impending "gentrification" let us give historic Anacostia residents, small business owners, organizations, nonprofits community groups, property owners, and other concerned stakeholders the acknowledgments they deserve for working for a safe, vibrant and revitalized historic Anacostia!
Removing urban blight and filling vacant houses with families is a very good thing.
Cheers to you Anacostia and to everyone who has worked so hard for decades to combat years of government and financial neglect!
