Nov 2 | Free bus from THEARC for Corcoran's annual Community Day
We would like to invite you to join us for the Corcoran's annual Community Day on Saturday November 2, 2013 from 10am-3pm. This event is free and open to the public and includes art making activities, a community art fair, a beer garden, film screenings made by ArtReach students and community partners, tours of current exhibitions and two artist talks by Mia Feuer, the artist who inspired students this semester to think about their environment and create art made from recycled material.
ArtReach Master class students will also lead a recycled art making activity and sell ArtReach artwork at a table in the community art fair. I know many of you have expressed interest in purchasing student work, so now's your chance!
Thanks to THEARC's support, we have a bus reserved for interested partners and ArtReach families. The bus will depart THEARC at 10am and return at 2pm. If you would like to attend the Corcoran's Community Day, please email me with your name, phone number and the number of seats you would like to reserve. All students must be accompanied by a chaperone. Partners and families are also welcome to meet at the Corcoran (500 17th St NW DC), which is accessible via the Farragut North and Farragut West Metro stops.
Please let me know if you have any questions and we hope to see you there!
