PANDA PANIC!!! I STILL need answers!!!!
On closer inspection The Advoc8te thinks the pandas may be sleeping on Astroturf |
Just a friendly reminder that I am still waiting on a response to my earlier post about the "10 things I need to know about the National Zoo's panda cam before the government shutdown."
NZ, I know you are probably super busy -- I see the cub had a check up yesterday -- but when you get a sec if you could alleviate some of my panda cam anxiety I would really appreciate it. I stayed up really late analyzing the panda cam and while I am no longer sure that is berber carpet I think it may be some kind of outside grass carpeting? Maybe? It looks like the black and white version of the stuff my great grandmother had on her back porch in Philly.
If there is just too much "pandaemonium" right now to answer all 10 of my questions I could probably settle for an answer to Questions #1, #2, #5 and #10.
And if you just so happen to have some spare panda fur laying around if it were to find its way into a stamped envelope with my office address at The HIVE on it I wouldn't mind that at all. Just sayin'.
P.S. Please tell the zoo keepers they rock! I just saw this video of Mei Xiang getting an ultrasound earlier in the summer and it was sweet! I can't even get my dog to sit on command and they can get a panda to do this? That honey water must be the bomb...hmmmm...maybe I need to incorporate that into my dog training sessions... or just my lunch.
Anyway, looking forward to maybe just maybe getting a response today? Pretty please? :)
UPDATE SEPT 27 AT 8:25AM
Oh my flipping goodness! Either I am hallucinating or the panda cam just went from black and white to color! I don't know if I am more excited about seeing the pandas in color (look at that pink nose on the baby!) or that I can see that the pandas are laying on GREY CARPET!!!! Yeah!!! I have gotten an answer to Question #1!
