Volunteers needed for Congress Heights walking tour on Oct 5th

Dear Neighbors,

As part of Cultural Tourism DC's WalkingTown event, I will be leading a tour called "Exploring Congress Heights" on Saturday, October 5 from 2 to 4 pm. Did the the same tour in 2011 but missed 2012.

The tour starts and ends at the Congress Heights Metro Station exit on the south side of Alabama Avenue. I will be giving commentary based on previous research done by Nate Howard, Gail Lowe and many others.

Already more than 20 people have made reservations. This is an opportunity to present our neighborhood to folks who have probably not been here before.

It would be great if at least a few residents could be there to share stories and perspectives, especially those who have been hear much long than my short fours years.
