Hello folks---
It was nice to get away (in-town) for the holiday. I was able to catch up on some overdue projects (like sleep) and I was able to spend a little overdue quality time with my friends. Unfortunately I was not able to make it home to visit my family yet again (very unfortunate and all too familiar).
I hope you all had a great holiday and are now fully recharged for the the upcoming week --- there is a lot to do in Ward 8!
Some of you have been with me from Congress Heights on the Rise's inception and 2008 and some of you have joined me along the way. For all of you and in thanks of your support I wanted to give all of my readers a heads up that tomorrow I will be making a semi important announcement about the future of this blog. I will try to get the post up in the morning to give you plenty of time to review it and post any comments or feedback you may have.
I have been turning an idea over in my head for a while and over the weekend I finally came to a decision about it and I am really okay with it -- more than okay with it if I were to be honest -- I am kind of excited about it.
Anyhow, at the risk of getting too cryptic and mysterious stay tuned.
