JUNE 15 | Ward 8 Book Festival

This Saturday, June 15, 2013 we will embark on the 1st. Ward 8 Book Festival where we will be celebrating Literacy, Community, Dreams and Ward 8! There will be dozens of published authors signing autographed copies of their books! There will be facepainting! There will be panels on how to get your writing started and publishing your book! It's a day of upliftment and advancement. Bring your father to celebrate Father's Day with a good book.
Here is the tentative schedule;
10:00am- 4:00pm: Author meet and greet the authors
10:30am-12:00pm: Complimentary Facepainting sponsored by A Goddess Journey's "Majestic Moments" Activity Corner
11:00am-3:00pm: The HOTSPOT Open Mic and Karaoke
11:00am- 11:40am: Panel Discussion- "How to take an idea and turn it into a book"
11: 50am-12:30pm: Panel Discussion - "How to get your book published"
12:40pm-1:20pm: Panel Discussion - "How to get your books to readers"
1: 30pm-2:10pm: Panel Discussion - "What other types or genres I should consider writing for"
2:20pm -3:00pm: Panel Discussion - "How do a market myself and my work"
There will also be merchandise vendors throughout with great product and services for sale. Vendor space is still available.
This is a great opportunity to learn more about a writer's life, their process of writing and even learning how you can write your book! Or you can come out and have some fun with your friends during the karaoke session or support and enjoy those who will participate in the Open Mic.
