New development coming to MLK Jr. Ave in Congress Heights
I don't think anyone (and I mean anyone) will be missing the long closed McDonald's that used to be on this lot. For those of you unfamiliar this is the lot across from the Saint Elizabeths East Campus. My understanding is that the Friendship Charter School behind the lot is expanding.
While a school may not be everyone's first choice for a new project on the business corridor (I long for the day when mostly businesses are on the corridor) the designs look good. Hopefully this will encourage more quality commercial space to be developed. We need more density!
