Poulet et Gaufres (Chicken & Waffles, y'all!) kicks off at 6pm tonight!

Oh yeah! I can't wait! If you haven't already gotten your tickets for the chicken and waffle pop-up tonight at the Anacostia Arts Center (1231 Good Hope Rd SE)  you may want to do so ASAP. There will be only a limited number of dinner tickets sold at the door and I have a feeling they will go faster than a chicken crossing the road!

GO HERE TO BUY YOUR DINNER TICKET (with or without alcohol)

In case you forgot here are the details:

Poulet et Gaufres (that's Chicken and Waffles to you and me) will be popping up in Anacostia April 26th, 6-9pm, in conjunction with Honfleur Gallery and The Gallery at Vivid Solutions'  Figures in Jazz and Unsung Jazz exhibits. What better way to celebrate an evening of jazz portraits and music (provided by Twins Lounge) than with food that originated in Memphis in the late night hours after the jazz clubs shut down. You probably didn't know that chicken and waffles began as a dish eaten in the pre-dawn hours when restaurants would make use of left-over chicken for their breakfast customers.

Poulet et Gaufres offers its modern spin on this classic combination with waffle cones, Belgian waffles, biscuit waffles, mango chipotle ketchup, pickled chicken with tomato jam, 16 Spice Chicken, and other amazing flavor combos.  Let the tradition live on!

Buy a ticket for just chicken and waffles, or chicken and waffles plus a beer. Tickets can also be purchased day-of at the door, but availability is not guaranteed.  Free parking is available for those who purchase tickets in advance.

Gallery event and jazz performance is free and open to the public. To learn more about Honfleur Gallery & The Gallery at Vivid Solutions new exhibitsvisit their Facebook page
