Del Eleanor Homes Norton cuts a mean run in 2008 on the ACC boat trip

The Advoc8te will be attending the Anacostia Coordinating Council's 29th Annual boat ride this Saturday. When I first moved to Ward 8 this was one of the first community events I attended. The boat ride was so much fun and it was a great way to meet who would become my new neighbors. There was plenty of laughs, food, dancing and optimism for a new Anacostia. I highly recommend attending this event, it is a great fundraiser for the organization and a great way to stay informed on the ACC's progress in Anacostia.

If you haven't yet gotten your ticket a little birdie told me that there may be FIVE tickets left. Tickets are $100 and include food, drinks, dancing, and a glorious ride on the Nina's Dandy. At 10:30am shuttle buses will be departing from the Big Chair in Anacostia to the dock in Alexandria, Virginia.
