THE PASSING OF ALBERT "BUTCH" HOPKINS JR.

This is very sad news to report.  Mr. Hopkins was such a passionate, committed, and classy man. He will  truly be missed.

Dear ACC Board Members,

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the death of Albert R. Hopkins, Jr, who passed last night at his home after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.  Affectionately know as "Butch," he served for many years as the president/ceo of the Anacostia Economic Development Corporation.  He was one of the founders and incorporators of the Anacostia Coordinating Council and served as a board member since ACC's inception.  Our community has suffered a tremendous loss but his spirit and work continues.  You will receive notice of the services for him once they are announced.  Please keep his family and our community in prayer.
