TLC coming to the Anacostia facade
The always delightful Jackie Ward, Councilmember Barry's Constituent Services Specialist and the charming Darnetta Tyus of DMPED both reached out to me today to let me know that help is on its way for the Anacostia facade.
According to Ms. Tyus engineers have done an integrity check and found the site to be structurally sound. Work will now proceed to fix the plywood "wall" that fell down a few weeks ago.
There are no immediate plans to develop the facade but there are hopes that eventually the entire block will be developed. Here's to hoping that is sooner rather than later! :)
