TODAY @ 6:30PM | Mtng To Discuss Anacostia Public Art Installation


The DC Commission on Arts and Humanities (DCCAH) and the DC Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) will hold a second community input session for the public art installation at 1201-1203 Good Hope Rd SE (Corner of Martin Luther King Jr. Ave and Good Hope Rd) on November 9th, 2011.

This will be your opportunity to meet with the artists who have been invited to submit proposals for the site. Artists will be encouraged to incorporate your concerns and preferences when preparing their final designs, and the members of the selection panel will take into consideration the comments you provide at this meeting  when they recommend an artist to the DCCAH Board of Commissioners.

If you are interested in participating in the process, please attend this meeting along with your friends and neighbors, as the artwork it will serve as a gateway to Historic Anacostia and all of Ward 8.
